• Financial data: Transaction records, Chart of Accounts, bank statement files, and QuickBooks data you sync
• Usage data: Features used, categorization decisions, and platform interactions
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Process transactions and manage your account balance
• Send service-related communications (account updates, billing receipts)
• Train and improve AI categorization models using anonymized, aggregated patterns (never your raw financial data)
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Security

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Access to your financial data is restricted to your account only. We maintain audit logs of all data access and never share your client financial records with third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: AI categorization service (data sent is transaction descriptions only, not personally identifiable financial records), Neon (database hosting), Replit (platform hosting)
• Legal requirements: When required by law or valid legal process
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition, with notice to users

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you terminate your account, we retain data for 30 days in case of accidental deletion, after which it is permanently deleted. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your transaction data in standard formats (CSV, IIF)
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies

We use session cookies solely to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from logging in.

The Service is intended for professional use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
